Aligote has a light lemon-green colour and welcoming scents of yellow apple, white peach, and persimmon. When you take a sip, you'll enjoy bright flavours of white raspberry, beeswax, and a touch of jasmine, perfectly showcasing the character of our York Road vineyard.
Inspired by the Aligote made by fellow St. David's winemaker, Amelie Boury's at Chateau du Charmes, its crisp, precise taste, especially in warmer years, gives it a soft, almost Chablis-like feel.
While Aligote can be tricky to grow because it's very vigorous and produces a lot of fruit, the vines are managed carefully to make sure the wine is always expressive and refined.
