This vintage gave us a picture-perfect Pinot Noir season. Thanks to a generous harvest and plenty of sunshine in September and October, we could wait until the grapes were just right—no scrambling to beat the rain. Our 2023 Pinot Noir shows off a delicate, pale ruby color that speaks to Niagara’s style, but don’t let the light hue fool you. The nose leans savory, with smoky, meaty notes and a hint ofChinese five-spice, balanced by bright touches of cranberry and date.
Take a taste, and it’s all about fresh red fruit and a lively acidic kick, plus a subtle hint of black tea. Think silky texture with tannins on par with a comforting cup of tea present but not overpowering. A mix of mostly neutral oak and a touch of new oak (about 10%) rounds it out without adding heavy wood flavors. It’s a truly Niagara take on Pinot Noir that’s light in body, medium in alcohol, and ready to show off its charming, down-to earth personality.
